Meet the Crabs

M.Ed

​

Rachel graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature and a minor in History.

 

She continued study at Duquesne earning a Master's in the Science of Education. It is here that her interest in the science of learning was born. She applied what she learned, and continued to learn, to her practice having taught Spanish in a K-12 and community college setting for 11 years.

Rachel believes there is power in educational psychology and theory and that the "complex" does not have to be complex in practice. She recently transitioned out of the classroom and is an instructional designer for an online K-12 Public School redesigning their curriculum and gamifying work for learners.

​

She entered the Ed.D program at the University of Miami in May of 2023 and enjoys working, learning, and growing with professionals from diverse fields of study. She loves spending quality time with her husband and children, baking, laughing, and playing.

 

Her hope with this site is to bring sound theoretical concepts of learning to the interesting fields of astrology and psychology and use these concepts to help others on their journey toward healing.

Lauren graduated from Florida International University in Miami, FL with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. 

​

She went on New York University (NYU) to earn a Master's in the Art of Teaching and Learning. It is here and with her rich life experience that she intended to focus on the whole person as she designed curriculum and instruction for her students. 

​

Her wealth of instructional experiences range from after school care, to K-12 classroom experience, and have led her to the creation of her successful consulting firm, LBG Educational Solutions.

​

In her consulting role, she works hand in hand to coach and mentor teachers and create fresh, student-centered products. The heart of her work is the creation of, "soul-tions" for learners and always remembering to consider what learners bring with them to a learning space.

​

She entered the Ed.D program at the University of Miami in May of 2023 and enjoys playing with her dog, learning about astrology, traveling, going to the beach as often as she can (because cancer - crab), spin classes, hip hop and pop music, and, whenever possible, chocolate cake.
